Thank's my friend! But in fact the jig is full modular because the modules not have glue in fact, I fix with pins or needles, at the moment I convert the same jig to fix gear legs... Pics more later..

Great, I like your alignment system with that template, it allows you a lot of movement.

Thank you very much Sérgio. There are several ways to build biplanes at scale, some even without the jig, for me it gives a more fun aspect to the construction and prevents errors that can result in the loss of the model. Tonight I must start working on the DVII again and maybe complete this project.

Friends!
Continuing the construction of the Fokker DVII duo, still shocked by the passing of John Bowden, I dedicate this construction to him, who at the beginning of my journey in the paper modelling was a great encourager and mentor. Last night I completed the construction of the two models. The same jig used to glue the upper wing was added to another layer of foam and turned into a jig to glue the landing gear. The photos show the gluing sequence of the central cabin rods that were checked using references and then painted. The same happened with the legs of the landing gear, which after drying, in the case of the Lothar aircraft were also painted. ----> Continue... |

With the landing gear finished, I glued the helices of each plane, in this step several flaws were painted with acrylic paint, later on scratchbuilding using 180gsm colored paper the actuators of the ailerons with their cables. A layer of varnish and the two Fokkers were finished.

Models finished.
Well friends here are the two finished models, which were made exclusively in the virtual model making workshops of my club, CCCP, as everyone knows. The models come from one of Gerry Papermodels' repaint sets that are already on sale at Ecardmodels. I chose to represent two aircraft of famous pilots, one that in the future would be a great dignitary of the III Reich and another that was a fighter pilot as talented as his brother: Hermman Goering Commander of Richthofen Jagdgeshwader - Jasta 11 with 21 kills and Lothar Von Richthofen - Jasta 11 with 40 kills (young brother of the Red Baron), the first is a second man of Nazi German regime and Lothar beside a survive to WWI killed in air acident in 1922. Gerry Papermodels make a wondeful work in this repaint, add a complete cockpit and make authentic colors on repaint. My extras: Layering engine parts Make a movable surfaces actuators Adding rigging in each plane. The original numbers in catalog of Bruno is #420, to #422 and #530. Is a enjoyable project and nice planes to build. |
