I have Osprey book on Spanish Civil War aces and this Nieuport is mount of many of them for a short time .By war time they were already worn out and engine problems were common.

I'm looking at pictures of real thing and it turns out one is still in French museum.Your model looks nearly like it

Spectacular work Pericles! Very nice biplane, Argentina had 5 or 6 of these there in the 25s or so.

Karol In Spanish Civil War both sides use in early stages of conflict the Nieuport Delage NiD-52, but the association with Hispano Aviation and Nieuport start with NiD-29, Spain build 10 under license for 30 machines used. The use in Spain is very short, the NiD-29 is replace in early 30's for NiD42/52. Thank's my friend!

Thank's Sergio! In fact Argentina use in 1920's a dozen of type and his a unique user of this airplane in South America. NiD-29 are used for recon duties. Is my intention build one, is very close to spanish plane in color scheme.

Thank's Don, in this week I have some advances in the model. The blank build is base on real aircraft (controversy?)

Very nice build. But, why pelado/plain?

There were some plain (sans markings) G3M bombers converted for photo recon for checking up on Russian activities along borders but I thought they were painted in very light coat gray/green paint rather than white.

Interesting machines too,only 3 crew members,more fuel,striped of non esentials to bare minimum.In part those machines were the reason Mig-3 interceptor was developed.They were replaced in 1942 with better,new machines but some soldered all the way till late 1944 for far north regions were Russians didn't have interceptors.

Karol solve the question. This plane represent a G3M2a from Takao Naval Air Group 3rd Kukutai used for recon missions over Philippines in 1941 and before in Soviet borders...

For the end of mistery, my expectative is make a conclusion of this model today...

Well friends!

With some delay, another model for the collection, this time a repaint of my own. Although it is more like a "strip" than a repaint. The aircraft represents a Mitsubishi G3M2 from Takao Kokutai used without markings and special equipment for secret high-altitude reconnaissance flights over the Philippines in 1941.

The model has some modifications, including the volumetrization of the bomb/torpedo holders with their clamps, exhausts, air intakes in the engine, ADF antenna, engine faces transformed into formers, radio antennas and other details.

In the future I intend to convert Bruno's model to the G3M1 and G3M2 Model 11, but for this the rear fuselage needs to be modified.
