Well friends I started slowly with the quadruple assembly, I started with the French, both for the DB-7 and the D520. In both projects I am "complicating" the construction of both a little.

On the D520. as i mentioned a few posts ago i started the process of installing the Fly Model D520 cockpit, as well as some of the formers of this model. In a 1/33 scale model, many formers are needed for both the structure and the shape. In our case, the formers served to shape and join so much that not all will be used. An award for Bruno's design is that with few adjustments the pieces of other models fit beautifully, I had already done a similar experiment on an A6M2-K.

In the case of the DB-7, I captured the formers of a plant in scale (reduced) to 1/100 and intending to structure at least the central section of the fuselage, which has a very peculiar "elongated box" shape.

More to come...

Stay tuned...

Cool

Thank's Sergio!

Last night I worked on the DB-7, again to capture the peculiar shape of the fuselage I used formers, which I took from a plane-scale plant, which were reduced and adjusted according to the scale, for the time being they worked well. The entire front section of the plane was finished and added weight on the nose. I try to leave the gunner's position open, but I will still study my references and books, I will certainly have to make the 7.7mm Darne machine gun in scratchbuilding. Tonight I must work on the Ki-27 and Ki-21 ...

Really good looking colors on that DB-7 repaint.French had interesting looking camo before war.It took them awhile to get there but I guess Spanish Civil War next door helped with pushing it along.

I'm looking forward to all of them.

Nice work so far. Even really nice!
I like to watch and follow your 1/100 build reports, Pericles. Especially now, when I haven't built any plane since January 2020. Right now, my hands just refuse to build anything that flies. And as today I started another scratch project in 1/50(it's probably the most infamous, evil vehicle of WWII), there's definitely no chance that I build(or at least recolor) any aircraft anytime soon.
So thanks for posting yours, Pericles. It's always a pleasure to watch them!

Cool

Well friends.

On Saturday and Sunday I worked exclusively on my repainting of the Ki-21, this model was built without formers, the only relevant modification was to make an internal support for the wings and a glue base as in the photos. Maybe I will continue to work on it today, if not, move on to the Ki-27.

Stay tuned...
