About the history of Macchi M33: This elegant hydroplane with advanced lines for the period that was built for win Schneider Trophy of 1925, however had an engine not very powerful for its purpose (Curtiss D-12) in addition to obsolete radiators. Two were produced that actively participated in the 1925 race that took place in Baltimore in the USA and in the end was won by Jimmy Doolittle flying a Curtiss R3C2, the plane represented here was the first to compete piloted by Ricardo Morselli who was eliminated from the race due to problems ignition in the engine. The second plane piloted Giovanni de Briganti, ended up taking the third place of the race, due to navigation errors and with the fear of engine failure the pilot ended up not using full force in it. The Macchi M33 was the last Italian airboat to compete in the Schneider Trophy, all later aircraft in Italy would be monoplanes equipped with floats. |

F-14 Update...
Well friends a little update on the construction of the F-14, today I made the final part of the backbone and the cockpit the assembly of these elements had to be careful because in the absence of glue tabs we had to make top glues (gluing the edges of each piece), so this work is done by segment, letting the glue dry to glue another one. I use a dentist's spatula and a set of tools to open cell phones to help maintain the correct look and the right area of the collage. With this stage completed, we can move on to the final part of Tomcat and proceed to the conclusion of this project.

I know that many miss Bruno here on the forum. But I want to reassure those who do not correspond with Bruno outside the Forum that he is well and continues to draw, among the new models he is about to launch the MiG-23/27 family and the Mirage 2000 that I believe should soon appear at Ecardmodels.
I leave here a small sample of the MiG-23M "Flogger B", catalog number 3486. Certainly next year will go to the construction list. |

Great job Pericles, I hate these parts, they are very delicate and take time, Lately I am making small support tabs and in certain parts I put a 0.5mm cardboard strip inside, then I make a crimp cut and the job it simplifies.

Thanks Sergio, in fact this kind of gluing is very tedious but note: in curve sections is more hard to put a card strip, in this case the angle of edge make a possible area of gluing, but in 90º or more I use the stips llok a nacelles of DB-7 for example
