Smile Seversky Project

On Sunday I was very lazy to go to the bench, so I decided to start one of my programming projects which are the versions of the P-35 designed by Bruno, researching here and there I ended up discovering that of the mono-version versions Bruno only drew the P -35, the export version (EP-1 used by Sweden) and the P-35A which has the longest fuselage, were not designed. So I converted and repainted to represent two P-35s in the USAAC Philippines a Swedish EP-1 and I still did two "esoteric" repaintings that are in the field of conjecture, the first of which is the representation of one of the six (or more) P- 35 supplied to Ecuador after the 1942 Rio Treaty that ended the 1941 War between Peru and this country with the defeated Esquador and losing 20000 km² of territory at the border. (there are simply no photos of the Ecuadorian P-35s, the repaint was based on reports and the instruction of the plastic kit from Hobbycraft Canada). The camouflaged P-35 is one of eight machines delivered to the Philippine Air Corps in haste when the Japanese invaded the Philippines. There are no photos again although the Philippine machines were very active in the invasion including sinking a small Japanese minesweeper. The layout is more or less based on the colors of the P-26 and again was taken from the Internet based on a assembled plastic model.

In addition to the conversion itself to the P-35A my mods combine the mod that Rata did by correcting the engine of the P-35 and adding wing fillets, my mod adds weapon fairings and external ammunition depots. Within the project I must also assemble the versions of Bruno and Gary (not yet released). My idea later is to start building and converting the biplaces (SEV-3MMW, SEV-3XAR) that use the wings of the P-35 but with different fuselages, canopies and engines.

But all of that, I think it will be for next year. (January)

Very interesting project.
I was not aware of the use of the P-35 by Ecuador nor the Philippines.
We will need patience.
Thank you for sharing.

off topic, as for the Condor let's not loose hope. May be a South American in the future

Thank you my dear friends Tony and Wirepaper.

In fact, Ecuador's use of the P-35 was one of the consequences of the defeat of the 1941 War. The United States provided equipment for Peru and Ecuador to rearm mainly for this second country, which lacked a modern military force after the defeat. What is known is that the initial version P-35s were diverted directly from the Panama Canal Zone and were flown to Quito in 1942. Given the cold war with Peru, photographic records of any type of these aircraft have not been made, for the time being there are only reports that contradict each other in relation to marking and painting. These aircraft remained in service for a very short time, being obsolete but somewhat equivalent to Peru's P-36s.

Smile Especially for Tony

In the future one of the conversions involving a hybrid between parts of Sevesky2PAL and Bruno's P-35 is Seversky SEV-3XAR, this demonstrator was in Mexico getting to get Mexican registration, later he was sent to Spain where he took sides for Republicans, a fascinating existence.
