The finished model. My Stinson-Vultee O-49, is one of the "White Army" planes in the Louisiana war games in 1941. To do this repaint I used photos from the Squadron Publications book "Air Force Colors Vol 1 1926-1942" by Dana Bell

Well friends, here is this interesting model, it pairs with my North American O-47, built in 2020 or 21 during the COVID pandemic (I don't remember the exact year).

My repaint is based on model number #3417 from Bruno's catalogue. For those who want to purchase, the originals are available in a bundle at Ecardmodels, you can buy them here:

1/100 snp Stinson L-1 Vigilant Bundle Paper Model - EcardModels

I plan to upload the repaint to Ecardmodels soon.

All Planes of "L-Bird" Miniseries

With the O-49, I finish the L-Birds mini series project (at least for now), I leave photos of the whole family together, interesting how the O-49 is a big plane compared to the Bird Dog (considering that the Cub and the L-3 are known small aircraft).

What an interesting plane the O-49 was. I'm like Don with having never seen one in paper model form. Thanks for showing Pér and looks good with the little L-Birds you've done.

Thank you my friend.

It really is a very interesting plane, although it had little production considering the war time. It is literally an "American Storch" (which, the design was largely inspired by the German plane).

Maybe the Scissors model is the second (Bruno always builds his designs), but Jan Kytop recently built the L-1 offered by Ryan Short (designed by Aaron Murphy), he demonstrated it in his thread about L-Birds, it was built in 1/72 scale.

Thank you very much Jan! In fact I built the O-48 beta in 2021 for the DGA, both are now side by side in my midship. Thank you very much for the words.
