Cool Start of biplane Mood

Well friends!

Starting my biplane mood, I start with my repaints. Last month I repainted practically all the series of the Sesquiplane Nieuport Delage, the first two are of the NiD 42 type. Initially the flight surfaces were built as you can see in the photos.

Note that each wing was reinforced with a piece of cardboard of 3 mm to avoid the possible bending of the wing in its bonding.

Updates soon.

Smile Tachikawa Ki-55 Double build repaints

Well friends my next project is two repaints from the primary trainer Tacikawa Ki 55.

One is in the colors of IJAAF and the other in the colors of the Manchu air force.

It is a simple model to build as we already demonstrated with the assembly of the Ki-36, the same modifications are the same as we did in the attack version.

Cool Orange Double Ki 55 Finished!

Well my friends!

Two more finished models that were prepared to be built a long time ago. These two Ki-55 repaints have been completed since 2019. The "Ida" training version is the same Ki-36 without combat, radio and reconnaissance equipment, with double command for intermediate training. One of the versions is that of the Fujimi plastic kit packaging representing an airplane from an unknown IJAAF training unit, the other I removed from the Kora Decals reference sheet, representing a training machine from the Imperial Air Force of Manchukuo, a Japanese puppet state. based on the failed Quing dynasty, the last to rule China as an empire.

As mentioned in the previous post, the construction techniques of the two models were the same used in the Ki-36 that I built last year and shown here. We have some small customizations transforming the face of the engine into formers and volumetrizing the exhausts. My repaints for the Ki-55 are based on the blank model number #3059 in Bruno's catalog and will soon be on sale at Ecardmodels.

Time to resume the builds of NiD 42 couple.

Smile Resume of NiD 42 Building

Well friends.

Another update on the Nieuport Delage NiD 42, I started to build the fuselages, starting with the core where the cockpit is, which in this case I opened and made the seats, the cockpit floor and the instrument panel with 120 / 180gsm colored paper. Due to its small size, it is barely noticeable, but it is there. The corners were painted with PVA paint in the appropriate color. I believe that this weekend we will have more advances in this project.

Smile NiD 42 Building

Continuing our work in the Nieuport, the fuselage was completed without any problems, a little attention on the engine heads. The secret to assembling this sesquiplane is to prepare the central pillar first and glue the wing over there, observing the alignment carefully, I used the construction of a depron jig to fix the wing. The care with the alignments and the support arms need to be very well aligned at risk of being bent, this part of the construction needs to be very aligned, otherwise the model will be damaged.

My modifications to this model in addition to repainting the two models are the addition of the radiators on the legs of the landing gear, a small reduction in the wing area of the horizontal stabilizer and leaving the wings without dihedral, in addition to some minor graphic modifications in the engine area.
