Smile Fairey Battle Repaint and mod finished.

The Fairey Battle is a elegant low-wing cantilever monoplane emerged it was considered one of the most advanced military aircraft in the world in second half of 1930's. if totally inadequate and fragile for the role of attack bomber, being quickly relegated to the secondary functions of training, testing and flying bench engines. The model I built represents an Mk I day bomber version of the Battle of the 103rd Squadron of the RAF in 1938/1939. Scissors and Planes model modified and repainted by me like I say in previous posts.

Mods and extras:

Joining the two sides of the wing;

Addition of landing gear parts;

Addition of wing fillets;

Adding details in radiator;

Repaint.

The model was modified and repainted on top of catalog item #141.

Nice, build, joining the top and bottom wings into one piece really adds to the look.

Curious model very well executed ... I don't know if anyone has the same opinion, but it gives me the feeling that the propeller "should" not be there. Perhaps a twin engine would be more suitable.
Great work

Indeed, the simple rearrange of pieces and small redesing of bottom face of wing solve the problem and make a very better visual. I think make another variations and users of Battle in the future. (if Bruno not redesign on Battle).

Thanks! In fact Battle use the same engine of Spitfire and Hurricane, but in 1X bigger airframe and a crew of two or three, the propller is bigger them fighters.

Time to think in the next project...

Very nice Battle Pericles. Very good looking repaint.

Beside hard battles during Battle of France Fairey Battle was known to many Commonwealth bomber aircrews from training schools either in UK or Canada.
