Dom, I owe you the completion of my "manual" of advanced advice on building the S&P Models. I'm going to start Showa L2D in a few days and I'm going to show you in detail how I make the wings.

Just my $0.50 (or 50p here) but I put a sandwich of paper layers into the wing tips and burnish the skin with a paintbrush handle.

Sometimes I use this type of technique, the advantage is a rigid and precise collage, the disadvantage in my view is the lack of control in making the shape.

Pericles has very different method of construction from mine so I'm following this thread closely. Very educational. Thank you for making it. |

It's curious. But in the week before my vacation it seems that we have even more work and then the time for model making is shortened. General construction of the C-47 has been completed. The horizontal tail needs some more attention mainly because of the small area of glue between the pieces. As you can see in the sequence of photos, I strongly recommend building the central fuselage first with the wings and engines because it facilitates adjustments internally if necessary.
I'm going to try to finish the model later this week, although I don't guarantee that I'll get it, but for now I'm liking the results. |

Taking shape nicely Pér. D-Day markings always add to a model.
