A "pre-paper" endeavor from my past
Built this about 10 years ago. Guillows SBD in 3/4" equal 1'. Covered in iron-on stuff for R/C then airbrushed.

Display only and Yes I already have Nobi's 1:48 SBD in the queue. Also will jump Murph's Northrup BT to the front of the line when he releases it.

That Guillow kit is a classic. Wyvern |

Looks great! The only Guillow kit I actually "flew" was their SE-5A. Some of there other ones flew right into the ground so that ended my flying days.

Flew it at the beach, Alameda, CA, on a windless day. Good memory.

Neat-oh, Mike. As I recall, the interior had lots of paper in it so I'm not surprised!
Those were neat kits and with some lightning, flew pretty dang well R/C or free flight. This is another reason I like paper models so much...they are sort of hybrids of static plastics with the attention to actual building techniques of stick and tissue. Cool beans. Dan |
