Hi Rob ,
thanks , the pictures are good ! Hello to all others .. Actually, I wanted to build on our Styrian modeling days at the Lightning on. Due to the great interest of the visitors and the related discussions, I have not progressed much, here are my small construction progress .... Best regards Kurt |

Amazing stuff. If this is an example of the 'early' generation of card models, what quality level will we be seeing in, say, 10 years time?
Beautiful work.

Geli dates back to 1954. Herr Wittrich designed with a pencil, paper, ruler and several hours, (no computer) beautiful models, easy to build and with a charm not available anywhere. Fortunately, they are still being printed today. Your Lightning is a vivid example of what I mean. Perhaps not as detailed as other models but good enough for making a nice collection of aircraft. Congratulations.

Hi ,
thanks to all nice comments ........... on today's craft day I have continued to build on the Lightning ... Three wheels assembled in the GELI style, now let dry well, now the front "landing gear" glued. The wheels slightly sanded and blackened with ink ... The legs prepared. LG Kurt |

Hello !
This morning I finished my Lightning in a three hour session .... Main landing gear glued on and well dried. A wire is glued into the wheels. With the nose wheel, the landing gear is ready ... the top and the jam tube are prepared ... ... and placed. Now put on the prepared pulpit. With the two antennas the Lightning is now finished. A real GELI, was fun !! Gallery pictures follow ........ Kind regards Kurt |
