Believe it or not my biggest issue is “The Paper”. I am too inconsistent with the type of paper I use from build to build and I cannot settle on any one type for my 1/100 builds attempts. I have used anywhere from 20 lb to 65 and I simply cannot settle anywhere in between. I tried using different weight paper for different parts of the kit but the end result looks like a paper rat with wings.

I pretty much use 32lb paper now. The lighter stuff wrinkles and folds the more I handle it.

LG on and closing in on the final lil' stuff that adds character. One interplane strut that is hopelessly crooked for some reason. It is humid as hell this ayem so mebbe that is part of it. Anyone have any brilliant ideas to straighten it. With my perfect hindsight I see I should probably have used wire internally on all these struts. I may just have to plead battle damage!

Good work on the details!

You could try pulling it straight and giving it a coat of super glue. I used this method on flimsy side mirror frame for a tractor cab and it stiffened it right up.

Great idea. I was thinking about white glue but cyano will dry quicker. I checked with Walgreens and they don't have Viagra for paper

Your idea worked great. I cut a toothpick to the right size and wedged it between the wings. Coated with S glue and it is now perfectly flat.

Closer to the end, i guess. Looks great. Italian planes were always eye-catching.

Whoo-hoo! Looks really nice with the wheel pants on there. Can't wait to see the fixed strut.

Perfect, it looks impeccable, great work, the Italian Fiat I like, and yours with that camouflage is great, as Don said, I think it's your best job, a greeting
