my apologies for the delayed post... I had to regain my composure after a fit of jealousy over your "perfect" A-4. My A-4 looks like zombie vomit compared to yours but I will get there eventually. Your A-4 is "perfect" and I will strive to achieve this level of quality when I build it again (soon...)

Far from perfect Falco- the photos do some exaggerated justice. And it took a few goes to get some parts of it right. Thank heavens I had some close matching Humbrol acrylic paint (127) to do the extensive re-touching. And those getting intakes 'right' (still not really happy) left me with less hair than what little I started with.
While paper modelling is fairly new ground for me, I'm 59 and have been aircraft modelling in one form or another nearly all my life- so I do have the advantage of having a pretty well established 'feel' for doing this sort of thing.
Your P-47 was a damn fine model- keep going sport.

Kind regards, Garry G.

Thanks Rata... My P-47 is ok but I still see potential for improvement! I am currently waiting for my order of Krylon sealer to arrive so I can seal the Brent repaint and try again. I started this hobby when I was 8 stopped at 14 and resumed at 22, on and off... until now at 31. I want to stay with it and sharpen my skills until retirement by which time I hope to be able to produce builds like the masters here on papermodelers.com

Onya mate. Paper modelling is the BEST hobby I've ever gotten into. The subject matter is unbelievably VAST, it's relatively cheap and my fellow modellers are almost without exception the most decent bunch of folks you'll ever be involved with. All the years I was a plasteek man, I never joined any forums for the simple reason that being (or acting like) an egotistic knothead on those sites seemed to be the norm.
The more I do paper, the more I love it.

Carpe fidelis! (I think it means 'seize the fiddle')
