VF-101 was the east coast Fleet Replacement squadron (ie training unit) for the F-4 and later F-14. Apparently they did use some A-4 in aggressor schemes. It was reactivated in 2012 as VFA-101, the FRS for the F-35C.

The final reveal she is done

Ahoy Paper Wrights

Here is the last of the build thread sadly to say its over with here is the final reveal. spent three hours of constant burnishing and checking for mistakes nothing more can be added or redone the kit is at it limit of design I am getting use to the Aggressor paint schedule livery here on the kit. Now I can tuck her away in a box and get ready for the May 12th model conventions we will be having at the Hope hotel Area C Wright Patterson AFB. so I be on jets for a while along with my Envoy build..

Construction Of The Kit

As to the kit in general is not a bad kit ancient to say the least. there are a few parts here and there that are either over sized or under sized having these difficulties both ways makes the build challenging and hard. I recieve3d this kit from our Late Mr. Ron Hall AKA Ron40 Last night I discovered I have 8 of these kits in my paper kit stash pile so I might build another some day this time I will vacuum form a canopy the canopy in the kit is the only draw back no patterns to make the canopy just the frames. Everyone knows that the canopy is molded upwards to give it a slight hump but the kit is flat like a three day soda. it is the only eyesore I can see. in other words a simple kit to build but beware of fit of parts before you glue them down.

Looks great from here, Frankie. You could even vac a canopy for this guy some day. Neat little machine and a quick build!

P.S. I really enjoy your YouTube channel and the addition of Jolly Tunes from time to time!

Cheers,
Dan

That turned out great considering it's age. Sure has strange coloring to my eye.
