Thanks Tony. The successful build was as much due to top class design by ATVARS as much as anything else. Has some neat innovations including those neat looking props.

That is an amazing build, and for quite the impressive aircraft as well. Those flying boats were true workhorses over the oceans.
And as always, many thanks to you both for the research and writeup. it is easy for me to forget that each of these planes had a story that extended from factory to final flight that crossed many times and places. Thank you for helping to bring that to life. Doug |

Late to the party but congrats Garry on a great build (actually all your builds). I am still floundering with my own S&P builds. Can't seem to get them to look as good as most other members on this forum, but keeping at it. Shout out to Don for his always inciteful historical info. Great to learn the backstory behind these aircraft.

Thanks Dave.
Bob, one thing that I think makes a difference (if you've got access) is lazer printing. I get my printing done at a local print/office supplies chain store for about 70c per colour A4 sheet which is printed on slightly thicker paper. Bit of inconvenience but worth it in the end. Garry

Came across this interesting video: BMFA 2022 Indoor Nationals (free flight).
Though not really paper related, it is PB2Y-2 Coronado related. Plenty of other stuff here, but the flight of the electric PB2Y-2 starts at 4:54. BMFA Indoor Nationals 2022 - YouTube

Rata... My brain is having a hard time processing how good your most recent build is. Not even in my wildest dreams have I ever built a model this good looking (not even platik models). I can only hope that in the next 50+ years I have left on this earth that I will reach this level of perfection.

Thanks Falco. The good result I got with this one is not in the least due to the excellent design work. This is the first Atvars model I've made and if their other kits are this good, certainly won't be the last.

The Martin T4M is without question a very important type in relation to the subject matter of this thread, but I have to admit I always considered it a bit dull looking and uninspiring.
It's inclusion was a given so I went ahead with the repaint and building. It wasn't until Don sent me his first draft of the write up that made me much more aware of it's huge contribution to naval aviation development and that really fired up my enthusiasm for this plane. As it turns out this would have to be at the top of the list of my favourite builds for this thread. When you read Don's write up you'll see why I had the inspiration awakening. This model will be submitted to Ecards ASAP if you would like a copy.
