Messerschmitt Me-1101 (p.1101) Super Model 1:33
Hello,
after a view years, I decided to go on with the paper modeling. So I chosen to make the Me-1101 of WW II from the polish publisher "Super Model". I hoped that this will be a good start to continue paper modeling. And it was at the beginning but as soon as later it appears to be a small disaster. The parts doesn't fit together and you have to cut some parts off and put it in a new together. Also some of the Parts are missing complete or even doesn't exist! This is a poor model. The Technical drawings looks poor and it looks like the author didn't have enough time to examinate the whole produktion. Anyway I will try to complete it, although it is like making a jigsaw! |

Good luck Jacek. Sounds like you may need it, but give it your best shot.

Forum member Lex has an active build thread on this very model. You should check it out to see what lies ahead. Good luck, I'm afraid you're going to need it. Me P.1101 (Supermodel)

At first you can built this plane in two versions. With or without a cover for the jet engine underneath the cockpit.
I chose the version with Engine. The parts fits all together well. No problems so far (Pic 1 and 2). After that you have to start with the cockpit in the fuselage section. And here starts the problems because the parts 1,2,3,4 doesn´t fit well. So you have to cut them into position. Cover 3 do not fit to 4. Despite this,cover-part 4 (cockpit) ist much bigger in the length, so you have to cut it shorter. After all I managed to built them together. But it was a lot of work. Thanks to member Isaac i could avoid some problems at this section. |

Hello,
i made some progress in the middle section. The parts fits better together than the fuselage. But the wing holding panels 12c should run in a straight line. But this make no sense, because the wings will be attached diagonal to the middle section. But this is no problem, I simply bent the panels. |
