There are 2 1/72 versions of the BV 141 right in the downloads section of the forum. Gary Pilsworth's original design, and my recolor. It's a simple model, but it looks snazzy when assembled. This is one of my favorite airplanes JCK. I'll be watching with interest. It was powered with the same engine as the FW 190, so even though it was an excellent performer, the need for the fighter was greater than the observation plane. That was the main reason for it's low production volume.

To build the cockpit is a very patiently work, because the cover has to be built of 14 different parts. For the windows I simply take some thin transparent plastic foil of a chocolate candy (by the way the chocolate was delicious). I glue the foil with MIKRO KRISTAL KLEAR. The interior has also to be build in. But I donīt understand, how to make those pilot seats to look good. They look quite different as they are shown on the drawings (see last two pictures - part 50). Anyway I donīt like the design, so I decided to draw them by myself on Corel Draw. Not done yet.

I've always had a soft spot for this one... Sort of the "Millennium Falcon" of WWII... LOL Not well known but an interesting plane to be sure... Later! OL J R

Yeah! thatīs right. But it reminds me of the Tie-Bomber. Because it has also cockpit and some sort of pod side by side .
I made some small progress but not much, because I had some night shift and my time was short. I redesigned the seats and build the most of the engine pipe (last picture). Now I have to make the propeller and the horizontal and vertical tail surfaces. I also make a mold of the rear part of the cockpit. So I kann make the window of formed transparent foil. Tomorrow I will try to form the cone and hope it will work so far. |

Hallo,
Iīm trying to build the cockpit together. The progress is going very slowly. I have to try to put the parts together again and again. Also the glass tail. I tried to make it from a plastic bottle and Im quite satisfied. Anyway, I noticed that in the tail of the cockpit a frame have wrong size. It is a bit to small. So the next step is to give the cockpit the right size. And then finally I can put together the frame for the wings. |
