Hi Yoav,
I really like your F16 but I will have to find a solution for the "duct". When the cold weather comes I will probably have time to build. In the meantime we were flying ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTgI8XI4-cg Thanks Teo |

Wonderful to see how paper models can be so accurate that they even fly.
kudos to the designer and builder/pilot.

When you say DUCT what you mean? You have to forgive me, but I don't always understand technical English well. By the way, did you maintain the same scale between the two models(super mystere and f-15)? YOAV |

At a guess I think he means the engine inlet.

Hi,
The "duct" is the pipe through which the air circulates inside the plane. For an EDF = Electric Ducted Fan to work properly, the suction pipe area must be approximately 1.5 larger than the turbine area and the discharge area 0.7-0.8 from the turbine area. F15 is approximately 1:10 scale. The F16 I made earlier was after a repainted Maly, in which I partially modified the diameter of the "duct". I used a 90 mm EDF for both F16 and Mystere. F15 has two 70mm diameter EDFs. Teo |
