Some more progress on P-38. I should have scanned and printed it on better, newer cardboard... but I thought it would be nice to see it built from original sheets. Also I'll have to replace those "paper decals" for better and thinner ones. I've asked my grandson, Kacper(PacificWind) to prepare some markings(roundels) and maybe even a pin-up girl nose art?
To make this report complete, pictures in the attachments:

I'm enjoying this thread. You are doing quite a remarkable job, especially so considering the material you have to work with. With your skills they should make for a great finish.

Zenon's impeccable work. And knowing that the paper is 30 years old gives me chills, it must be very difficult to handle that. And it is doing wonders with that P-38

Who knows. By the way, he's even mentioned in TBiU, so you may be surprised but I know who he was. It's really impressive that he shot down 40 Japanese planes. Here I got some more progress on fuselages. Also I decided to leave the idea of pin-up girl nose art. I'll just paint "kill marks"(is it the right name for those little flags which were painted mostly on nose?)

Almost done it appears! Excellent work so far, with a custom cockpit too.
I'm always taking my paper back "The Fork tailed Devil" with me for reading material when I have to wait someplace. My Alma mater, Woodbury University was just around the corner from the actual Lockheed plant. I used to drive past the area where they used the huge presses that shaped the aluminum sheets. I think they just refer to them as 'kills' or 'victories' Zenon.
