Mitsubishi Sonia Recolor from Ray Smith 1/100th

All,

When I saw this recolor, I knew I had to have it but I was leery due to the size and scale. I can never make those tiny ones look good plus I'm not good with those tiny, blue canopies. This thing fit very well and I love it. A nice quick build while thinking about what to do on the Vickers Vimy.

Dang it, Ray...there will be more of these in the future.

Dan

That turned out great Dan! Small scale builds make for a great diversion
during build stages of larger kits.
It's always great to see one of my repaints built by
some one else.

Looks great. Having just failed to build a 1/100 model, I appeciate the difficulty of working in a small scale, not to mention producing as good-looking a model as this one.

And, of course, I am always glad to see a Japanese airplane built.

The markings indicate that it is the lead aircraft of the 1st Company (Chūtai) of the 27th Air Regiment (Hikō Sentai), which served in Malaya and Burma.

Interesting camo pattern.....looks like a pox.

Great build Dan. I know the need for diversions during long term builds. This one seemed to fill your needs.

Great build Dan, a fine looking Ki-51. I love the colour scheme (two thumbs up to Ray for that).

Thank you very much, Guys! I really did this since I've never made a paper model that small and I expected it to turn out horribly. Well...the designer nailed this one and Ray's colors are cool.

Win/Win for me! But now, like a said, I have even more models to compete for my limited attention span!
