Spitfire Mk II 1/100 from Thaipaperwork
This popped up in a thread. A Nobi offering I had never seen before. While perusing the directions for my USS Ward I decided to throw this little gem together. After all you can never have too many Spitfires and / or Hurricanes!!
Anybody that wants to follow along here is the build album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/d2KWx5y1yXr1EbUS8

Looks very fine from here.
I compared with the many spits I have laying here to see if it really is that small or if you had big hands... it is that small. B

This Spitfire by Thaipaperwork is something new to me too. I didn't know that NOBI designed something like this in 1/100. I'll be following your work with this plane, Michael. Oh, and looks like I have a wonderful thing for recoloring.

Always good to see a Nobi getting the treatment it deserves. Like Kacper I wasn't aware of this one either.

Had to take a step back, follow Mrs. Rata's advice ie
''Oh, stop whining! Can't you just print off another one?''- my wife ca 2018 Mainly because of pilot error. I try to re engineer these tiny things to make them stronger and the build to go faster. This has to be a very early Nobi design. He has tried to make it like a Marek where you assemble "boxes" for the fuselage. His later designs are MUCH better. In any case I am back on track. The 2nd fuselage looks much better. Nobi provides a paper spar but I like bent paper clips better. Also note Styrofoam wing inserts. Really work a treat as they say in Ol' Blighty! Also note that all the moderators are at the Paper Modeling convention in Virginia so post all the off thread junk you want to!!

Michael - Did you build the second fuselage the same way you built the first one? Or did you use connecting strips? Don

Pretty much the same way. I left off half of the formers. Before cutting I sketch out joining tabs on the bottom and one each of the fuse sections. I figure out which one will fit best into its neighbor. Smaller ones get the "teeth" edges left on. When building I insert the former into the toothed end and glue. This makes a nice set of pieces with internal strengthening that insert into each other.
The little bit of pre-planning and prep work makes for an easier, faster build for me.

Your little Spitty looks good. And PacificWind posted a repaint in Turkish markings in the Downloads section too. Gotta love this site!
