I hope none of our agents came to harm getting that photo!

Ki-61-I Hien
Formosa, February 1944 Done. I've switched the background to make the photos more realistic. In most cases I can use my "jungle airfield scenery" but this time the plane was stationed in Formosa(Taiwan), where the landscape is rather mountainous, so I had to find something more accurate. Thanks to Google Maps and modern technology the background photo is actually a real Taiwanese landscape.

Excellent Hien. 19th Hikō Sentai.
I think I recognize the scenery around Taichung. Don |

Another great job, both construction and repainting. Very well done again Kacper! Of course, wonderful photos.

Interesting.Have you seen anywhere any pictures of Ki-61 used by ROC on Formosa after war? They were used for training along with other ex-Japanese planes until spares run out.
I could never find anything credible, just mentions of very sloppy overpainting of previous markings with new ones. |
