1/144 Eurofighter Typhoon G NA
As Bruno was in the process of designing the Typhoon, I had made a comment of I know
which one I hoped to see. It wasn't to long there after that I received and email and kit to beta test to make sure camo and markings aligned. This is one of the more difficult kits I've done in a while. Lots of curves. Even after studying rkelterer's build extensively, I still managed to muck it up! While it is not even close to the quality build rkelterer did, it did come out looking like a Typhoon. Ish. So, here we go.

Given the fact that this model is at 1/144 scale with somewhat thicker cardboard, it is really very nicely done. The build, I mean. (the design, I should not comment on that myself )

Nice job Ray and creative fictional markings too. Looks cool.
According to Wiki, 'GN' was the code for 249 (Gold Coast) Sqn, which distinguished itself during The Battle Of Britain and the rest of WWII. Disbanded in 1969, 249 was re-allocated in 2000 to an Air Cadet sqn based in Hailsham. Air Cadets flying around in Typhoons? Eep!

You are really on a roll, Flyboy!
This is another real gem. I really like that 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain sand and spinach color scheme (File:Eurofighter Typhoon FGR4 'ZK349 - GN-A' (26561308815).jpg - Wikimedia Commons). Don |
