Gloster Sea Gladiator - Halinski - 1/33
In my view, 2010 was a good year for Halinski aircraft kits. Besides the Spitfire Mk.Ia and the Bf-109T2, they released completely new kits of the N1K2-J Shiden Kai and the Gloster Sea Gladiator. Both have over 1000 parts.
The Sea Gladiator is the only biplane in Halinski’s well-furnished kit list. This kit, as you can see in the attached pictures, is extremely detailed and takes 5 colored pages and 4 black and white pages printed on thin paper. They include structure parts to be reinforced, templates to align the wings and the fuselage, templates for the wires and the transparencies. Needless to say, I got a copy of the excellent canopy accessory but not the laser cut parts. All in all, 1164 parts. Enough to keep me happy for quite a while… |

This will also keep a lot of us happy, too, as we watch you apply your incomparable craftsmanship to this excellent kit of a most historic and good-looking airplane.

I don't think the sum total of every 1/100 model I've built comes to 1,164 parts!
Good luck with this project. I'll be tuned in like everyone else.

Wow! 1164 parts. This kit looks very attractive and tempting. Wish I had the time to do projects like these.... Good luck Ricardo, like what Don says, this will keep a lot of us happy too!

Thank you very much for your interest, friends
Cockpit construction is complicated by the lack of a solid card base. There is a top card part, as I’ll show later, but the large opening makes it fragile. The pictures show the cockpit side panels, which make up part of the middle fuselage structure. |

Good luck with this one mate. I actually saw N5519 last year in Malta in the museum there, from the original 1435 flight with faith, hope and charity. My call to fame is that I served on the modern day 1435 flight in the Falklands some years ago. They have an extra aircraft though, desperation. Watching your thread with interest Regards |

Yes!
I did this one years ago and though I'm not an artist with paper like you, I enjoyed the build enormously. One of the best Halinski kits. Very interested what you will make of it. |
