1/33 RAAF Vengeance Mk.I
I've started next WWII aircraft in 1/33 scale. This time it's a very new digital model(2019) by Marek's Model Cardboard. Vultee Vengeance Mk.I in Royal Australian Air Force markings and camouflage of 23 Squadron, Nadzab, New Guinea, 1944.
Kit looks great, textures are excellent and the instructions are very clear. What is more, mine is laser printed on a good quality cardboard.

I am very glad you are building this model, Zenon. I have purchased it and the USAAF A-35 version and hope to try building the A-35 in 1/48 scale. As mentioned before, I built the Comet stick and tissue 1/24 version fifty years ago and have another, unbuilt Comet kit on the shelf.

Good choice.Marek does some amazing models but for my taste he goes a bit overboard with details. He tends to get carried away and that can create some issues with building.
Then again some like models like that.To each their own. |

Following this one with great interest.
We have one (I think it's complete) here as part of the collection of the Camden Air Museum which for a number of years has been closed with sadly no plans to re-open. Don't know if there are any other examples of the Vengeance elsewhere. BTW, check the Beaufighter the museum also has.

Looking forward for the completed model of this important plane a little bit overshadowed by its naval counterparts (and the Stuka).

New photos and also my few thoughts.
Model definitely not for beginners; it's a bit difficult and you need some skill and experience to handle it. As I said, instructions are very clear so that's a good thing in this case. What's more, I've found that some segments don't work good with the joiner strips provided by Marek. In few places I've replaced them with my own joiners. Some parts visible in the pictures are only dry-attached.
