The last group of wartime B-17s is of course the B-17G with the Cheyenne ball tail gunner and repositioned side gunner windows. All of these aircraft flew in metallic paint with brightly colored accessories. I have selected the following for you:
- Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress (USAAF, 851. BS, 490. BG, Lt. William G. Sutton, Eye AB, England, March 1945) - Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress (USAAF, 418. BS, 100. BG, Lt. George Morasco, Thorpe Abbots AB, England, March 1945) - Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress (USAAF, 550. BS, 385. BG, Great Ashfield AB, England, April 1945) - Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress (USAAF, 708. BS, 447. BG, Lt. Ned J. Clark, Rattlesden AB, England, January 1945) - Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress (USAAF, 839. BS, 487. BG, Lt. Roy V. DeSelms, Lavenham AB, England, March 1945)

Although the Flying Fortresses have not appeared in the Ecardmodels menu yet (but they are already uploaded there), I couldn't stand it and started another big "pile of iron" :-). Of course, Consolidated Liberator. A machine that is even more interesting than the B-17 in terms of versions and livery.
The first version I have prepared for you is the B-24D, a machine without a nose turret. There are machines with and without the lower ball turret. Specifically: - Consolidated B-24D Liberator (USAAF, 68th BS, 44th BG, 1st Lt. H.C.Palmer, Shipdham AB, England, April 1944) - Consolidated B-24D Liberator (USAAF, 320th BS, 90th BG, 5 Mile Drome AB, New Guinea, summer 1943) - Consolidated B-24D Liberator (USAAF, 343rd BS, 98th BG, Lt. Julian Darlington, Lete AB, Lybia, August 1943) - Consolidated B-24D Liberator (USAAF, 345. BS, 98. BG, 1st Lt. Lindley P. Husseys, Benina AB, Lybia, July 1943) - Consolidated B-24D Liberator (USAAF, 374. BS, 308. BG, Lt. Samuel J. Skousen, Chengkung AB, China, May 1944) - Consolidated B-24D Liberator (USAAF, 375th BS, 308th BG, Lt. Barney O'Hara, Chengkung AB, China, June 1944) - Consolidated B-24D Liberator (USAAF, 493. BS, 7th BG, Lt. Robert D. Chambers, Pandaveswar AB, India, August 1943) More to follow.

B-24s in China? Neat. Very overlooked theatre of operations in modeling. Do you think you can make one of LB-30 transports that flew " over the hump" to China? Bruno missed them.

The B-24's are a welcome addition. More than 75 years since the end of WWII,
it is still "Cinderella's Sister" in the eyes of many. Dave |

Not a bad idea, but there is very little material on them. Anyway, I also have in my list Mk. I and Mk. II that were based on the LB-30. I have prepared about 35 aircraft in total, including naval ones....
