It's not very unusual version. In some theatres it was likely more often seen than any other 4 engine transport and afaik C-109 version was the only dedicated gas hauler airplane made (even if just a conversion of older models). That alone would make them a very frequent flier to many airfields.
Looking at pictures of C-87 and C-109 on net it looks like they had very hard life and were repaired very often.I think many of the nose sections were just cobbled together so making a model of one will be a guess work and an approximation. Found this Consolidated C-87/C-109 Liberator Express Named10 (Flying Lemon to Goodtime Charlie) - EVERYTHING B-24 |

Following are two Liberators from the Royal Air Force's Bomber Command armoury. These are the last "anti-ground" bombers, and will be followed only by anti-ship machines, either British or American. These are:
- Consolidated Liberator B Mk.II (RAF, 178th Sq., Terrica AB, Lybia, February 1943) - Consolidated Liberator B Mk.VI (RAF, 99th Sq., Cocos Islands, August 1945)

Very nice, does it means that we should be expecting a Consolidated PB4Y-2 Privateer?

Again, 3 are complete. - Consolidated Liberator GR Mk.VI (Marine-Luchtvaartdienst, 321st Sq., Cocos Islands, summer 1945) - Consolidated Liberator GR MK.VI (RAF, 311 (Czechoslovak) Sq., F.Lt. Nice. I think last one should read Yarmouth NS,not AB.I doubt there were any anti shipping planes stationed in Alberta even for training.

Perhaps AB may be referring to Air Base Karol.
