Martin Model 167

It has been some time since I post something here.
I have contemplated to build the Martin Model 167 in Vichy colors for some time. I even got the elusive Maryland designed by Aaron, but it was rather detailed (complicated) for 1/400. Fortunately I found the simpler free model by Edi from 2008. I just recolored the cowling and tail yellow with no stripes, and added a white flash through the fuselage. Let's see how it progresses.

Great! The Maryland is one of the more neglected WWII bomber designs.

I guess I need to get that Maryland back up with eCardmodels... I have all the files. Also have the Baltimore.

Thank you Garry, Don, Ryan, and Pericles for stopping by.
Ryan, looking forward to your Martin Maryland and Baltimore.
Here it is the final model from Edi in 1/400, with minimal modifications except for the recolor, and gluing digitally the upper and lower wing sections.
Ps: Maybe next a Potez or a Vickers Wellesley

WIP Wellesley

As I mentioned before, it is time for the obsolescent looking Vickers Wellesley.
Having proven to have a decent range of almost 2000 km, it soldiered on to participated in the East African Campaign against the Italians.
It gave valuable service despite its vulnerability to interception by the also obsolescent looking biplanes of the Regia Aeronautica.

The model is from Murph reduced to my usual 1/400, and as far as I know, the only one in paper.

Great Model Pablo!

I have always liked the (to my eye) odd looking Wellesley.

The East African air campaign was a kind of aviation museum.
