Using ship kind of framing can make sense with some very rare and complicated models. My jaw dropped some time ago when someone designed SU-7 with this kind of frame.Su-7 has even simpler tube fuselage than Hunter.Art for the sake of art?
My first clash with that idea was very old Maly Modelarz Ki-43 Hayabusa. It was horrible to build, heavy from so much card, twisted and impossible to finish.I sold of my Defiant designed the same way after that . I should have done what you did there. |

stay tuned. I'll show you it is better not to follow the kit assembly method.
At least the designer of the kit is not complaining as there is more than one way to build. Isaac

Fuselage continued
Here is the entire aft fuselage minus the frames
Frame is ready as one continuous unit. Notice that all protrusions are removed and some sections are sanded a bit so they do not snag inside. Slide the frames in as one unit ( front to back ). Be careful not to force it in. Sand as needed to allow a smooth entry. Nice fit! DO NOT GLUE the frames . It will be removed later on so the forward fuselage section can be attached. That was easy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Isaac

Nose section
The nose section of the fuselage will be built the same as the aft. Skins separately and then the inner frame.
Here are the parts and frames Nose ( I hate petals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) sections going aft until the cockpit test fit the inner frame ( Do not glue ). More later Isaac

Fuselage continued- Cockpit section
Now that I have the forward and aft section, there is another part that is to be attached in between them. That is the section housing the cockpit.
I decided to remove the inner framing from the rear fuselage ( recall I did not glue it ) and attach the section housing the cockpit. The reason is that it is much easier to mate all the sections this way as apposed to building it on the frames. Here it is: Inner and outer skin glued to the rear : Notice the inner frame is removed. Now that it is dry, insert the frame back in. Again, do not glue it as there is no need for gluing it. Isaac

Fuselage continued- nose section on
Next join the two sections of the nose frames. add the nose gear housing.
Slide the frame in place to determine the amount of nose weight ( looks like two or three pieces will be OK ) remove the frame and add the cockpit tub add the sides Now glue the entire nose frame/partial cockpit into the fuselage glue the nose weights ( I think two pieces is enough ) Now ready the nose section lightly glue the nose section to the rear. The cockpit details will be added later That is it for now. Isaac
