No. 7 Airbus (CASA) C-295
Spanish-made transport aircraft Airbus Defense & Space (formerly EADS CASA) C295M of the 301st Air Squadron of the Mexican Air Force. The first six of the C295M version were purchased brand news between 2010 and 2011, in 2015 two more of the C295W version arrived (with winglets) for a total of eight units. All six initials arrived in a very light gray scheme with FAM emblems and titles in low visibility. In 2015 they are painted emblems in high visibility and tricolor rudder. When the last two units arrived in 2015, they did so in this dark gray scheme, since it is already the standard for FAM cargo ships, transports and reconnaissance aircraft such as the three Lockheed C130 Hercules, the five Boeing 737, four Beechcraft King Air 350, all three Embraer EMB145 and all four Leonardo C-27J Spartan. Duties and tasks includes cargo transportation missions, personnel, parachute launches, medical evacuation, and above all to support the DN-III-E Plan to support the population in the event of disasters. Registered 3201 to 3208 and operated by Escuadrón Aéreo EA301 located at Military Air Base 1 in Santa Lucía, State of Mexico. They have a large rear ramp for loading and unloading. Most have folding red canvas seats at the sides of the fuselage, although airline seats can be installed if necessary. For parachute launch, two side doors open at the rear. For the entry of the crew, it is done from a small front door to starboard of the aircraft. The C295, development of the previous and shorter CN235 (of which the Navy operates in its version of the Persuader maritime patrol) is manned by two pilots, plus one or two other people in charge of loading and unloading operations. It can carry up to 71 equipped soldiers or up to nine tons of cargo. It is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127G turboprops with 2,645 shp each, which drive Hamilton Standard propellers with six blades, giving it a maximum cruising speed of 260 knots (480 km / h) at an altitude of 25,000 feet and its range of flight is up to 700 nautical miles (1,300 km) with full load, but empty reaches 2,900 nautical miles These are the synthetized version of this very desired aircraft; I build the white version on 125 gr/m opalina paper and the dark version on 95 gr/m opalina paper. Best Regards, Tigertony 100. |

They knew that Mexico almost acquired a squad of Sukhoi's SU-27s to replace the F-5s in 2001.
Postscript: I wonder why Colombia does not want to acquire Russian fighters but it does want the SAAB scam gripen and European junk |
