1/32 Kaproni Bulgarski KB-11 Fazan
I've just started another plane.
This time it's a Kaproni Bulgarski KB-11 Fazan in 1/32 scale, from ModelArt, E.Zarkov. Model is quite difficult and I wouldn't recommend it for those who don't have enough experience in 1/33 or 1/32 scale. Here you can read about history of this aircraft: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kapron...ki_KB-11_Fazan And here in the attachments, some first photos.

Today I continued to work on KB-11.
Instruction suggests using "former to former" method for segments but it's not the best option. I always modify models like this one and add stripes. Thanks to this method, you always get smooth joints. Also remember to make cuts(at an angle, for easier segment positioning) on those stripes. However, as this Fazan is quite difficult model, be really careful with everything and don't rush. Rear gunner's segment is especially tricky. What's more, I also suggest installing all cockpit parts before gluing the segments together.

It's time for another update.
Model is very difficult to assemble due to its unusual construction. I have to work really slow and carefully. The good thing is that it's also a very nicely designed kit. Way better than Halinski kits. And what's important, it's fully buildable, unlike Halinski's kits... You can really build an amazing model from Zarkov kits. They're good for showing your skill. Some parts visible in the photos are only dry-attached(not glued yet).

This is the last update before the final.
These photos were taken few days ago when the KB-11 was still "in progress". Now the model is done and for example, wheel fairings look much better. Soon I'll post the pictures of finished model too. Also, I'll summarize all my thoughts, write a short review.

KB-11 Fazan is finished.
As I said, model is difficult and I would recommend it only for skilled/experienced 1/33 modelers. Basically, I explained why in my previous posts but I have to add few more things to that. First, make sure that cockpit segments are strengthened under floor. Second, watch out for the internal structures inside the main wings. I had to move them slightly towards the wing tips. Otherwise, they would not fit. In general, I think it's a really good kit, even though I found it a bit difficult to assemble. Nonetheless, Zarkov models are certainly worth recommending in my opinion. Considering all the difficulties I encountered, I'm satisfied with the result. The final pictures were taken by my grandson, Kacper(PacificWind). Thanks for watching, reading and commenting! Now I'd really like to hear your opinions.
