After a long time without updating anything about the Catalina, we are back to building this model.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We prepared the nacelles and engines with their respective cowlings, everything fits perfectly. ![]() |

With the wing ready, we worked on the fuselage. The model, unlike many designed by Aaron, does not have formers, which makes the work of building the segments a little more complicated to try not to leave gaps or misalignments. Last night I made little progress, focusing only on the front part of the fuselage.

Oh, my Lord. Lots, and lots, and lots of pieces. Few plastic models have the number of pieces that a model like this have! A master piece!
Nice mounting, My Old Friend!

I worked a little more on the Catalina fuselage, practically finishing the fuselage elements that have the hydrodynamic part of the hull.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() We stopped exactly at the transition segment between one half of the fuselage and the other, now there are only three more rear segments left, which I will try to finish tonight, as they involve some attention to finishing the keel. ![]() |

Continuing with work on the Catalina, last night I finished the fuselage. I really liked the results so far.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The back, which is oval in its cross-section, and the nose and cockpit elements were missing. These pieces fit together perfectly. This is one of Aaron's models that I most enjoyed building (and I've built many over the last 15 years). Now we move on to the tail and the connecting pillar with the wing. ![]() |
