Finally the completed model.

The Stinson Trimotor, also known as the Model A, was an airliner developed in the mid-1930s for the US domestic market. In addition to the US companies operating this elegant monoplane in Art Deco style, Australia through the AOA (Airlines of Australia) and later ANA (Australia National Airways) operated Stinsons Model A from 1936 to 1945, of the three purchased one copy was lost in a accident and the others in wartime were re-engineered with P&W Wasp engines. Some even operated in the harsh conditions of Alaska with small operators and bushpilots many years after the war. The exemplary model is one operated by American Airlines in the USA in 1937/38 with Lycoming engines.

More shots with bases.

On hand:

I sincerely hope Aaron and Bruno break into that wonderful field that is Golden Age civil aircraft, particularly US design.

Until the next.

It looks terrific, Péricles!

I, too, am a fan of Golden Age civil aircraft and hope that more paper models of that era appear. I also hope that Murph will produce a bundle of these (would look nice alongside his Curtiss Condors).

I intend to try my hand at this one, although I fear it is beyond my skill level.

Meanwhile, I will enoy the images of your model.

Don

Thank you very much my friends!

Don, despite the complex shapes, is not a difficult model to build, he is just laborious for having some very detailed parts such as landing gear and engine heads. I am very pleased with the results. I already sent the photos to Aaron, I believe that soon the model will be available for purchase.

Ah yes, the golden age...
perhaps when I'll be at my "golden age of retirement"
and that period is rather vast in subjects

Returning to Oddball / Murphs Models constructions we start 2024 with a classic and one of my favorite Aaron models. The Catalina has numerous versions, we started with the PBY-3, and currently Aaron's model is the only one of this initial version with a short tail and without the characteristic observation domes of the PBY-5.

We start work with the wings. Updates soon.
