I started this to check if I could still design a truncated cone that fit an existing fuselage. It's OK and there only one minor issue in the camo scheme.

It's a MiG-21F-13 (in this specific case a czech-built Avia S-106) converted from PR Models's MiG-21 which originally represents an MF.

I'm now wondering if I should build the F-7P and F-7PG or find a better way to join the spine/fin to the fuselage. It's pretty flimsy right now and a fix could be backported to the previous conversions (PF/PFS/PFM/FL). The intake center piece is also an issue (but the origal one is too).

All canopies of these conversions keep the height of the original PR Models version which shouldn't be the case (except for the J-7II/F-7B and later).

Can you get the template for this new version of the mig fighters? It would be very nice to be able to take it to my small scale, and build it.

Thanks Campeón. This series needs a few tweaks and more test-builds before release.

The fin and spine have no tabs to attach them to the fuselage. I'll probably add some small ones to the part of the spine that protrudes inside the canopy and maybe some at the base of the fin where there's a small and barely noticeable bulge on most of the chinese-built versions (except the original J-7 sans suffixe and MiG-21F & F-13). The nose centerpiece is also an issue as I want to keep it flat as Rawen & Paran intended on their original MiG-21MF and still leave some space to insert some weight and avoid a tailsitter.

The second test-build of this series of MiG-21F/F-13/J-7/F-7 is a Pakistan Air Force F-7PG., one of the last evolutions of the venerable MiG-21F-13.

If I managed to squeeze the the Syrian MiG during lunch break yesterday, this one was done in 2 steps: cutting and parts assembly during lunch break, final assembly tonight after work.

No mods yet. I'm building what I printed a few days ago.

Either I revise all the fins I did for this series of MiG-21F/J-7 or I change the tail cone... I'll change the fins.

Another adaptation of PR Models's MiG-21MF, the Chengdu F-7P of the Pakistan Air Force.

2 issues with the markings on this one
- the side number (515) is barely visible on the nose. I'll remove the white outline on the final version
- The fin flash is missing the green square on the left side, oops!

This build sequence gives better results for me :
1) fuselage
2) add the canopy and fin to the fuselage, let them dry
3) add the wings
4) add the stabs

I may not have to tweak the fins much in the end.

I also have a better idea of what to do with the nose centerpiece.
