There are now four versions of the Stranraer uploaded in ecardmodels and waiting to be aproved for download. They should be available in a few days, maybe today
I'm thinking to make three packs (or combos) of the plane: one with prewar metalized versions, other with WWII camouflage and the third post-war civilian ones. Buth this packs should be released in a few months. The K7287 that I have finished has a kind of roundel that I haven't seen before: small red circle inside and a very thin yellow ring outside. It's nothing earthshaking, but just strange.

Described as a 'type A1 variant' roundal. Seems to have been used where the fuselage was too narrow to add a yellow ring in proportion to size of existing colours. As we can see, it wouldn't have been possible to paint it any wider on this Stranraer.

Today ecardmodels has released five new versions of the Supermarine Stranraer: two of the CF-BXO as was on 1962 (1/100 and 1/33 scale) and three of the improved K7287, 228 Sqn. It has some changes in the position of the markings and badge of the plane, thanks to a series of new pictures that have been found.
In the next weeks there will be released the last three models that are currently in the queue to be improved. So enjoy!

His books with Howard White made a bestselling author out of Jim Spilsbury - the BC coast's legendary pioneer, painter, photographer, aviator, inventor and raconteur. Now all three volumes of the Spilsbury saga are available in trade paperback!Jim Spilsbury bought an airplane in 1943, when wartime restrictions prevented the use of his boat to visit the upcoast camps and settlements where he repaired radios. From this innocent beginning grew Queen Charlotte Airlines, and when he sold the business to Pacific Western Airlines twelve years later, it was the third largest airline in Canada. This is the history of the accidental airline and those incredible years of flying, growing, and scrambling. There's the trip from Vancouver to the Queen Charlottes and back that took eleven days and three airplanes; the Waco covered with lamp-black, inside and out; the fatally jinxed Stranraer; and the twelve-gallon ice cream sundae in the muskeg. There are tales of mercy flights, tragic crashes, and miraculous rescues and escapes, and many entertaining details of the luck, business skill, and hard work needed to keep an airline aloft.Affectionately known as "Queer Collection of Aircraft" by the loggers, pregnant homesteaders and touring 1950's movie stars who rode its ungainly "Flying Boxcars" through rain and fog, QCA beat out the competition to reign for one glorious decade as the queen of the booming post-war coast. There's never been an airline quite like the QCA and there's never been a flying story quite like "The Accidental Airline."

Uploading to ecardmodels the KA-A, 9 (BR) Sqn, Western Air Command, Bella Bella, British Columbia, Summer 1942
This Thursday the HD of my computer crashed and burned, thanks to a voltage drop last week. Lost a bit of the parts of the Sea Otter but the main problem is that I'll be expending all next week to reconfigure my next HD as necessary for my work.

The three scales of the KA-A, 9 (BR) Sqn, Western Air Command, Bella Bella, British Columbia, Summer 1942 are still pending to be released.
There are three packs uploaded and pending to be released, too. I was supposed to upload the last upgraded model of the Stranraer, the civilian Skeena Queen, but the crash of my Hard Disk have changed all my release dates. Anyway, you can have three Prewar models of this plane in just one download! Enjoy!

Today ecardmodels has released a flock of Stranraers!
Three Skeena Queens (one in 1/33, one in 1/72 and one in 1/100), three Pre-War packs (same sizes) and the remaining KA-A that heven't been released last time. This release ends the upgrades of the Supermarine Stranraers, one of my most loved and requested paper models. So, again, as always, enjoy!
