Lohner T.I 1/33rd from Orlik

The disease continues unabated. I'm starting this one next. It will be purposeful yet delicate. Would be a great beginning for a diorama too!

Anyway, starting this on the weekend. Stay tuned.

Dan

Hi Dan,

great choice!
I buildt this kit last year.
Have a look HERE
Attaching the wings would be easyer when you create your own buildsupporters, so as I did.

greetings

Wiwo

Really interesting subject! I can also encourage the use of wing support towers.

Excellent! Those WWI flying boat fighters are endlessly fascinating.

And be sure, while you are building it, to read John Biggins's, The Two-Headed Eagle: In Which Otto Prohaska Takes a Break as the Habsburg Empire's Leading U-boat Ace and Does Something Even More Thanklessly Dangerous [and flies, if not a Lohner T.1, at least a Hansa-Brandenburg FB]:
Amazon.com

I will be watching as the saga continues.

Thanks for the interest, everybody! And Don...I will pick that one up. Should keep me very motivated!

Here is a bit more:
I started the fuselage/hull and it has a nice interior framing along with multiple thicknesses on each side and then finally, the outer skin. Should be nice and firm when it's done. Still trying to figure out how to put in the cockpit and where to add the forward tip of the hull. I think if I make the cockpit, things will be revealed. So far, though...smooth sailing. I love the treatment of the printed wood too. Wiwo's build log is super helpful too. Take a look!

Stay tuned,
Dan
