Halinski Curtiss Tomahawk IIB: A slow but steady build
Hello All,
I started this guy about two weeks ago just taking my time and making each piece a model in and of itself. So far, that philosophy is working. As Rick wisely told me, there is nothing in this kit that you haven't already done or don't know how to do. He is right. This is wildly satisfying and very enjoyable so far. Loving this cockpit. More soon-ish...Dan |

The very nice beginnings of a pilot's office. Well done.

Thank you Olo, Gary, Ray and Rifleman...I can't wait to get the forward parts started with some gun breaches etc. I also can't believe how well-appointed the interior is. All those little pieces create a very convincing and realistic office. Just as good, if not better than, any plastic kit I've ever seen. And I didn't have to buy any aftermarket seats or belts to make things look scale for another $30 bucks!
What a deal for $14 USD complete...Dan |

Thanks, Yoav...coming from you that means a lot.
Here is a bit more. All has gone well. Slow, test fitting and head scratching before applying glue seems to be the norm. The picture directions are clear, but in a kind of murky way (!). You can really easily put something in before you are supposed to and get stuck pretty darn fast. Ask me how I know... Only really hard parts thus far I'm not satisfied with have been the rudder pedals. I could not figure out how they were supposed to really go together and look good. Luckily, they are deep, low and pretty well hidden. All in all, pretty cool. Gun breaches tomorrow! Cheers, Dan |

Very good start Dan, it's good to see another Halinski coming together. Will follow you on this one. I'm planning to start a Halinski myself early next year, not sure which one yet, but that will be the new year resolution .
