It is fascinating and enlightening to read your account of how you designed and are building the model of this Golden Age beauty.

Consolidated P2Y2
Good work with the Consolidated P2Y2. Do you plan to share this to others who wish to build it? I would jump at the chance.
Best luck, James |

Well my friends. After more than a month stopped, we resumed this project.
We started preparing the fuselage to receive the machine gun post. As the bow section of the P2Y was built with a solid reinforcement of cardboard, there was no other solution, if not carve with an electric nail file, this "Poor man Dremel" is ideal for working with paper , due to its low cost and low friction speed, this model in particular still has a ponteciometer that allows to regulate the speed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Still in the grip of dealing in the bow section, I took advantage of a piece of colored paper (printed in the same color as the fuselage), sanded the tip of the bow and applied this paper that was trimmed and then rounded, sealing the final part of the fuselage. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Since we were working with drilling, I also delimited the area of the lower wing and placed it, made with pieces of paper clips that were carefully cut and folded (I always use clips made of nickel so as not to oxidize), always checking with the plants in scale at In relation to the position and the dihedral, which in this case is neutral (0), the wings of the wing support were glued with industrial cyanocrylate, which is more reinforced than the most common CA glues.
