Hope this is an inspiration for others to build it as well.

And maybe have the Skyline model line continue with more planes.....

Exclamation Aft section

The fuselage aft section is built. Again, all rounded and conical sections that go together well.

Exclamation Center and aft sections joined

The long center section is a pure cylinder. Insert the inner circular formers.

Then join the center to the aft section.

Looks very nice and promising model Isaac. At this scale it will have a span of 44cm, not a small model. Scale of 1-72 can be ideall for most commercial aircraft.

Exclamation Nose section

Here are the forward fuselage nose sections

the windshield and upper section above are separate parts.

next section to join

here is the windshield

it is glued on. I had a bit of a struggle to fit it. I may revisit the area a bit later.

Now add the nose gear bay.

a view from below. Notice that the forward gear doors color does not match the underside. Those doors are only open during the retract and extension sequence as well as maintenance and are normally closed when the plane is on the ground.

the bay is re enforced with small pieces of plywood ( this will allow the landing gear to have a strong support.

Of extreme importance is to add weight in the nose or else, the model will be a tail seater ( not pretty ). If you plan to build the model in a flying mode, there is no need for the weights

Isaac,

The fuselage is looking great. Very nice work (as always).

You're fast Isaac! If I look at the pictures of the nose section and compare them to my version of this model, I think that it might have been better if the design of the front part had consisted of two parts, giving a better curve of the nose. I remember that I tried to emboss it as much as possible for a better shape. Difficult. Luckily it's black.
Nose gear door colors are indeed off. Always wondered if this is correct.

Looking forward to the engines - they really have a great fit!

Erik

Hi Erik

Yes, the black nose section is not entirely accurate.

For this build, I am not making any modifications. I want to see how it goes first.

As to the underside, I think the designer made the underside a reflective metallic look, and forgot to repaint the doors the same. I think it is a left over from the Japanese JAS airline version.
