Vertical fin
The vertical fin consists of two sides and a rib on the root to the fuselage.
Since there is no structure, I added a piece of wood ( coffee stirrer ) to support the fin. There is also a swash plate with card doublers that will be the support for the horizontal fins. dry fit the assembly and glued in place. One feature I am not sure of is that there is a small air inlet at the base of the vertical fin that is missing. But that is a minor detail. Isaac

Isaac,
Get the black marker out and colour a small black hole, and there you go, you're a re-painter. Keep up the great work. Gary

Wings
The wings are plain one piece folded softly along the leading edge and glued at the trailing edge.
Here they are. I added a narrow strip to the inner trailing edge for support. Here is the internal wing support/spar. I thought it is too flimsy and will not be adequate, so I built a thicker card stock inner core to stiffen it. trial fit install the frame into the fuselage cutouts wings are on now Isaac

Great build.
By thre way, does anyone know where Skyline Paper Models has gone? I'd really like to purchase a model or two from them. |

I am sure someone else knows more. I would like him to at least upload his files on Ecards or something. For a fee or for free. Isaac

Landing gear bays
In the previous post, I stated that the wings are on. However, they were not yet glued to the fuselage.
Next was the cutout for the gear bays in the wings only. Notice, that the doors in the fuselage only open during the retract and extension sequence and normally are closed on the ground, thus no need to cut out those. For strength, I inserted a small wood dowel that will be glued inside and to the rear of the wing center support. It is painted silver and has a small hole drilled for the strut pin. Now the wing can be glued on to the fuselage. Isaac
