Dan, It's a shame that the panels cover some of your beautiful detailed work. Fantastic work, keep it up.

Thanks, Gary.

I came really close to leaving at least one side off, but decided I liked the clean look of the ol' girl. You are certainly correct, though. Just a couple of extra details in there like an oil tank and it would be good to go.

Like my plastic models, I know it's in there!!

All,

I got the rear fuselage, fin and rudder started. It will look nice once glued on. Lots of odd curves on these so lots of preforming of paper to the approximate shape and then add glue and hold. Neat-oh...

I also got the cockpit edging assembled. Looks better in real life.

More on the weekend,
Dan

Dan,

The leather wrap around the cockpit opening looks very realistic. I love the V Stab and rudder. Very well done.

Beautiful. How did you do the exhaust pipes?

Thanks, Folks...

Gene: I used some old cable/wire from some broken ear buds. I collect those. They make good cockpit edging, exhaust pieces (if the diameter is right) and even tires. I have a heck of a time rolling paper to that diameter. Still have lots to learn.

Thanks for looking...Dan

Thank you very much, Yoav!

I got the main parts of the tails on but still need to add the elevators, inspection panels, tail skid and rigging. All in all, it's going really, really well. I'm so glad the tail section is on and now it really looks like a graceful yet menacing Albatros! I love those curves. What a slick machine it must have been.

More tomorrow,
Dan
