IMAM Ro 41 Biplane in 1/100 Scale by Artvars
We open the month and week with two finishes: Test models from designer Artvars of an airplane that is quite rare to see in models the IMAM Ro 41, a small biplane fighter and training plane. Designed in 1930, entered service in the Regia Aeronautica in 1935, serving as an advanced trainer, and was used in the Spanish Civil War by the nationalist band as a point interceptor and fighter bomber. Despite its use in combat, the Ro 41 never entered a real dogfight so its acrobatic characteristics were never proven in reality, although it had a performance similar to the main fighters of the first half of the 1930s. It remained for a long time as an advanced training aircraft Italian standard with one- and two-seat versions, with the distinction of being the first military aircraft after the war to resume production in Italy in 1947, with the Ro-41 remaining in service until 1950 at the AMI (Aeronáutica Militar Italiana). 1/100 scale model. Designed by friend Leonardo De la Rosa in a welcome series of French and Italian aircraft that should appear under the Artvars label. Models of moderate difficulty, due to their size and relative complexity, but which give a lot of satisfaction to those who want to take on the challenge of having these small biplanes in their collection. I believe these models will soon be available for purchase at Shop Models - EcardModels

It looks like a kid of I-15 and WACO. Lots of influences there.
Very nice looking models.I'm happy to see more Spanish civil war models showing up. |

Very nice build. It looks a little bit like the "Chato."
I found this little gem with many airplanes in particular the training Ro 41 and a young Alberto Sordi. Famous among modelers for his participation in "Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines." Alberto Sordi- 1942 I Tre Aquilotti-Italian Aviation Movie-(Spanish Subtitles) - YouTube You may skip to minute 10 to see the planes in action. Happy modeling! Thanks for the link to that film, Pablo. I enjoyed seeing the actual airplanes on which Pericles's superb models are based.
