I'm glad to see you're building the ROC version.

Back to P-26 business

After a reasonable waiting time, we started work on the ROCAF Boeing Model 281, building the main parts.

Now I see why the Chinese Peashooter wing was resting on the workbench near the Argentinian 139.

I look forward to seeing your identification of the issues with the Fiddlers Green model and your ways to overcome them.

Thanks Don, I make some notes and tips in build process, but the join of rear fuselage with cockpit segment is a weak part in whole model (insert the new cockpit make another problem of fit). I have some tips for the legs but I show in build process.

Best of luck with your newest P-26 Pericles.

I have to admit I had a lot of trouble building the FG model (I gave up in the end) so full credit to you for managing to complete yours.
I have have very limited model design skills, but fortunately as this plane's fuselage is a simple round teardrop shape, I was able to produce my own version using a free online cone calculator program. Flattish components like wings and tails are less of a problem for me so in the end I was able to come up with a complete, albeit simplified and basic model that passes for a Boeing P-26.

"Passes for a Boeing P-26"? That is a really nice rendition of that particular aircraft!! Though the planes of the interwar period are not my forte, they do sport interesting and attractive markings, so I might have to reconsider that! But you are to be congratulsatrd for a job well done!!!

Once you get hooked on this aviation period it's hard to become unhooked. Go back through Pericles build threads and you'll see some beauties. Not only US types either. Japan, Britain and European countries (and the countries they exported to) had some really cool stuff.
