You are forgetting Czechoslovak KP Prostejov models. For a long time they had distinction of being best quality kits made in entire combloc.

Model was made originally in 1981 I think it's still made today. Not very good kit but not terrible either and gives very nice painting options. Most years had excellent relatively thick decals and for a kid they work just great.

I tried finding where this color scheme originated but came up empty. I'm sure there were many all white Yak-1 fighters in service during 1941/42 winter . Enjoy the pictures:

Weather was crap so I tried making pictures in my local McDonalds. They turned out better than I expected. Lightning was great,so is the background. I will do that more often. Have Fun!
Nice and clean Yak-1 my friend!

ZTS was my very first intro to Eastern Bloc kits, followed shortly after by KP. Great modelling memories.

Here is another of Garry's repaints in ZTS Plastik colors. It's IL-2-3m in colors of Polish post war aviation regiment. They were used in Poland until replaced by 1949 with IL-10 ( I think those were mostly Czechoslovakian made). Plane is known well so enjoy the pictures

And here are photos of a real thing,ZTS made model I build many years ago. It's one of the handful of my plastic model that survived moves and kid assault.

As you can see they have different wings. Swept (or arrow)wings are later ones used due to addition of a gunner+heavy MG. Plastic model has potions for both single and two seater versions except for common wing that's not correct for this particular color scheme.

Also of note is canopy on Bruno model. I made a mistake here and installed it "as is". What I should have done was cut away part behind pilots sliding canopy and glue it lower and shown on plastic model. Pilots sliding canopy was made of armor plating and had very this armored glass. Paper model doesn't allow for that and canopy looks way to high. My bad but correction is rather easy imho.

I also misplaced my roll of thin wire I use for gun barrels so model doesn't have them. I have to organize things a bit better

Turned out great Karol. Yes, I found that canopy was an issue, but like you say, it is not unfixable.
I was going to attempt a single seat canopy conversion but as Stahl already has a bunch on his site.....

Been a while since posting anything new but I've just submitted to Ecards repaints of Bruno's 1/100 Bachem Ba.349 Natter.
Has four different 'what if' versions on the sheet as well the choice of flight stands or ground trestles.

And one more of Garry's repaints, this time I-153 from very old Maly kit.

I-153 has a distinction of being one of very few biplanes with retractable undercarriage that made it to production and it was made in far greater numbers than any other one. Some 3500 were made and they fought on front lines until 1942 and in Far Eastern part of USSR even longer.

Finns gathered quite a collection of Soviet fighters, among them were number of I-153 . Here is a page with their detailed service :

Håkans Aviation page - Polikarpov fighters in Finnish Service

Enjoy pictures
