Nice build so far. ;-) I like the semi shiny appearance, is it paper or did you varnish it?

Patience, sharp scissors, good eye glasses and a good selection of cuss words to grumble through gritted teeth.

Thanks Tappi. That satin appearance is because I get all my models laser printed at a local print shop. I prefer laser print as it's a lot more durable, the print and colour is sharper and is white glue freindly. At only 70c per A4 it's worth the trip down there.

Never tried laser printing I always have used Epson ink printers. Maybe I give it a try sometimes. Fiorst I need to find a printshop, not many around. Finns like to be selfsufficient so everybody has a printer at home, laser or inkjet.
so not much business opportunity in running a printshop. :-)

Inkjet certainly has the advantage of being more of a flat or matt finish which is more scale-like on most military models but is definitely not water based PVA glue friendly.
I did investigate and did the cost math of buying a laser printer, but they and toner replacement cartridges are expensive here in Australia. At 70c an A4 for shop printing, owning my own, though more convenient, is hardly cost justified.

We have a printing and stationary chain-store outfit here called Officeworks. They're everywhere and cheap so I'm lucky in that way.

First time looking in. I love the old racers and have quite a few of them in my digital stash. I don't think I'd ever be able to build them in such a small scale, though. Your work is inspiring.

Thanks Don. I too have quite a few to get through, including most of the Fiddlers Green Golden Age subjects. We'll have to wait and see if I can successfully do those in 1/100.......

Full size egg-plane! Who can resist GeeBees?
This is the Fiddlers Green GeeBee Model R-1 modified to make it more 1/100 friendly.
