I am looking forward to seeing models of the Brewster Buffalo in the co!ors of the Marine squadron stationed on Midway. The squadron's action during the battle gets less attention, but the marine pilots fought heroically, shooting down a number of enemy aircraft in spite of the shortcomings of the F2A.

Hi Gerry1966.I know about your Dauntless. I have it printed too and it will be build eventually. I went thu your catalogue hoping to find more Midway planes like A6M but no luck.

Today I present you with Ratas recolor of B5N2 Kate torpedo bomber. It was a first generation Japanese monoplane torpedo plane much like TBD Devastator but made to a bit different specifications and requirements .It was also armed with far better torpedo or bombs. Very long lived design since it served all the way till end of the war in different combat roles.

Note on torpedo on pictures-original I had with kit was too small-this is sized up one and Garry will correct that in the kit. Enjoy the pictures.

This a very lovely model. At later date I'll make an original Bruno model. I think it's in Pearl Harbor attack colors so it won't be featured here.

Working on Capt Humberd's VMF-221 F2A-3 as I speak. Will post in a day or so.

Karol, the 'Kate' looks great mate. Thanks for the heads up on the torpedo dimensions too.
Again, if it's ok with you, I'll use your pics for the Ecards submission.

This Brewster F2A-3 of VMF-221 was flown by Capt. William C. Humberd and in it during the Battle Of Midway he downed an A6M2 from the Akagi air group. Capt. Humberd, a Marine, was awarded the Navy Cross for this action.

Uoh,oh. Please tell me its B-17 lol

Awesome Buffalo Rata. I'll be building my own too a bit later.

Come to think of it Buffalo reminds me a little of a Gee Bee inspired designs that popped after it like Soviet I-16. Big radial engine and small, light airframe build behind it.
