The body became slightly wider than the cutout of the lower wing. Additionally I had to trim the front of the oil cooler on the top. I cut small incisions into the edge of the upper wing, forming a hollow groove. So most of the trimming is on the bottom ![]() |

4601 Ryan FR-1 Fireball
On applying the cockpit to the body I realized that I had to cut off too much to get a fit of the cockpit hood. Thereafter I modified the part twice. The first replaced the original one - the second one I put on the fuselage of 4602 to check the fit and the geometry of the windshield.

A first testbuild - I have do redo the build again with some modification on the wing parts and the transition to the engines. Due to the size and the additional weight of the supporting parts I had to insert a lot of lead balls into the nose
