1436 Junkers F.13 (float) recolor
The model shows the 2nd aircraft with the registration A-3 of the ÖLAG (Österreichisch Luftverkehrs Aktiengesellschaft“. This airline was founded in 1923. The reference picture was a postcard picture showing the plane before flying from Wolfgangsee in Salzburg, Austria.
Beside applying the proper registration and other markings I did minor modification on the fuselage and the color of the floats. Some pictures show the construction process. |

Great result! I want to build one of these but it's complicated by wanting to make the skin actually corrugated. Not only would this be fiddly but would have to add extra to the skin parts to allow for the greater surface area. Is there any paper available with tiny bumps at 1:72 or 1:48 scale anyone knows of? Alternatively could try making the kit out of the supplied parts and trying to mould paper and then sticking it over the top.
