Canopy open
The F-104 had a tilting canopy hinged on the left side.
Since I started the build with the rear transparency enclosed by a separate part, it became obvious that I can't match the parts with a closed canopy, thus the model has it in the open position. I did not add some of the small details like the metal brace needed for the "flimsy" canopy frame because I knew it will just fall off later....   Isaac

Parts unused
The model is completed and I will post finished pics soon.
There were multiple small parts not used  as well as the 4 drop tanks.  Some parts were duplicate as well since there are really two kits in this one booklet from GPM ( matt and shiny finishes ). Isaac

The canopy looks good, Isaac. It appears to have covered that gap in the glare shield.
