Hi all,
Last week I completed a build of an Airbus A330-300 in Fiji Airways colours, designed by Bkensky (who publishes as Paper Craft Interest Group). The aircraft is free to download and is in 1:120 scale (although it also says 1:100 on the pdf).
I decided to scratchbuild this airliner in landing configuration, with the flaps down, speedbrakes up and increase the detail on the landing gear. I also had to modify some engine parts and add an extra 4-window section to the fuselage to make the aircraft dimensionally correct. I think the designer may have made it as the -200 variant which is also operated by the airline, but DQ-FJW is definitely a -300 and the only example of that type that Fiji currently operate.
This was generally a nice build and the size of the model meant that there were almost no really small parts (other than ones I scratchbuilt). I slightly wish I'd also cut the front windows and built a representation of the flight deck too, but we'll do that in a future project.
